Writer's Note:
Having spent some time riding around in one of Google's driverless cars, I think the technology is actually quite promising. As to what end Google will actually apply this technology, only time will tell.

When I saw Google's Self-Driving Car prototype, I felt a strong urge to color it red, dress it up with black dots, & stick a pair of antennas on it. But in all seriousness I am fascinated by the possibility of not having to drive.
