It's true. I don't evolve Pikachu, because once it turns into Raichu, I would not love it. It would simply be a Pokemon, not the loveable being I grew attached to as a child. It may be faster and stronger, but it loses the charm it once had.
And that's why we have a dumpster of Raichus.
