Artist's Note:
Funny thing: this idea came to fruition a loooooong while back. We just never had any reason to use it, until Nintendo revealed their own genderbent character. Our answer to this new character, Linkle, is of course, "Ganondora".
And on the topic of names... why Linkle? Kinda sounds like a mix of Link and Tingle...ugh, I just thought of the image of that pairing... and it wasn't pretty.

So we've always been interested in the official Nintendo canon that Ganondorf basically grew up as the only dude in an all-female society. We've even made a comic speculating on what a terrible experience this probably was. Today's strip sort of just takes this reimagining one step further.
And yes, while it will be cool to see Linkle as a new character in the 3DS version of Hyrule Warriors, I'm still more excited about the fact that you can fight as a freaking boat in the game.
