I won't lie: upon finding out about FF7 being remade, I squealed in the privacy of the restaurant restroom. It's the nostalgia. Don't worry, my inner critic will kick in, in 3... 2... 1...
Writer's Note:
To be honest, I prefer VI over VII (and Chrono Trigger over both), but between them VII has aged poorly due to its graphical style, so it probably deserves to be remade.
And really, any final fantasy game that doesn't feature Lightning is a huge improvement in my book.
