Artist's Note:
...when I heard the news of Satoru Iwata's passing, I couldn't believe it. Though there were reports of his poor health in recent news, it felt as though he was snatched away suddenly. He was only 55.
The news hit the gaming community hard, and everyone is expressing their feelings differently. Many mourn on the social media with #ThankYouIwata trending, art has and is still being made in his wake. As for us, we made this strip.

After seeing so many sad art pieces memorializing Mr. Iwata, we figured it would be a nice change of pace to focus on the more enjoyable aspects of his legacy. In an industry that seems increasingly bent on making "super serious" games with an ever-growing number of monetization schemes, Iwata's sense of whimsy and focus on fun helped keep Nintendo securely in the hearts of many gamers, including Sarah and I.
He will be missed.
