Artist's Note:
Last week I wore a kimono for the first time. It was both the most beautiful and uncomfortable thing I have ever worn. Seriously, is this the secret to why Japanese women stay so thin? That their tight-ass kimonos prevent them from eating anything?
Still, wearing a kimono taught me a lot of things - about Japanese culture, history, and…that breathing is super important you guys. Like, I never knew how essential breathing was until my kimono almost crushed my ribcage.
It was still totes worth it. But next time, I'll see if spandex kimonos are an option.
Writer's Note:
If this is the secret to how Japanese women stay so thin, then what about Japanese men?
