This is true, I do contort my face into heinously impossible expressions that would horrify even the most steadfast of folks.
It is for art after all.
Writer's Note:
I'm not sure if this is as common a thing for writers since we can so easily "cheat" on imagery by employing abstract metaphors instead of actual physical descriptions. For example, instead of describing the contours of a character's angry face, I can simply write, "her face contorted into a mask of rage". Easy peasy. Or maybe writing is just generally a more dispassionate act than drawing. I mean, have you ever seen a person actually laugh while texting "lol", "rofl", or even a simple "haha"?
