This is satire, but I'm well aware that much more restricted forms of dog sharing programs exist in the real world, and that many do quite well. The problem with many so-called "sharing economy" tech startups is less their underlying ideas, which mostly seem good, and more to do with the fact that they're pumped up with billions of dollars in financing to pursue growth at all costs, in the same way a scientist might chemically-induce a healthy cell to become cancerous.
